Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a difference between dried herbs and liquid herbs?

Yes, the time it takes for the herbs to be absorbed. Generally the liquid versions are absorbed more quickly and therefore provide speedier results. Prepare to expect 2-3 weeks to notice a difference using dry herbs and less than a week with liquids.

Can I mix products together?

All our products are safe to use alongside each other and may even further enhance the desired results.

Can I compete while using your products?

If you are competing in affiliated competitions, you need to keep up-to-date with prohibited substances in your discipline. You will see there are no specific herbs or supplements listed with the exception of Valerian. Valerian contains salicylic acid which is an active constitute/plant alkaloid. There is no Valerian in any Pro-Equine products, but we do sell Valerian separately in our raw materials section.

How does Garlic Oil work as a fly repellent?

Adding Garlic Oil to your horse's feed encourages the horse's body to secrete the garlic properties that repel flies. Garlic Oil also helps raise the pH (acidity level) of the horse's blood enough to put flies off from biting. Using garlic oil is the cheapest and most effective way of providing a 24hr waterproof protection and is ideal for horses with sweet-itch problems and sensitive skin.

Can I use your products on other animals?

All our products are safe to use on other animals and humans, in fact one of the company's directors used most products on her babies and continues to do so now with her children. Because our products are 100% natural they are ideal for sensitive and troublesome skins.

Are your products tested on animals?

Absolutely not. All products are tested on our own skin first.

Can I vary the amount?

Recommended feeding amounts are given on the product label as a maintenance level. You can safely double the amount given if required.
